Great for your active dog and puppy

Your puppy deserves the best start in life that you can possibly give him, and it should come from Sport Dog Food. Cub contains a powerful balance of 30 percent protein and 20 percent fat and no grains, poultry or canola oil.

Poultry Free

Our Cub recipe is packed with premium animal protein and free from poultry, grains, peas, and flax to help your puppy develop and maintain strong bones and muscles with omega fatty acids for healthy skin and coat.

Consciously crafted without Peas and Lentils

Sport Dog Food formulas are specially blended to be free from peas, lentils, and flax in order to minimize the risk of food allergies and canine inflammatory disease while promoting optimal heart health, strong immunity, and regular digestion.

Maximixe Performance and Recovery

Made with 85% protein from animal sources, we start with lean Buffalo Meal as our 1st ingredient. Buffalo is an easily-digestible protein that helps build and maintain lean muscles. Compared with commercial beef & lamb, water buffalo is a healthier alternative because it is leaner and higher in protein content.

Wholesome Grains sourced right here in the US

You don't want fillers to slow down your healthy and happy puppy. Oatmeal is a great source of carbohydrate, fiber, and linoleic acid, all which support skin and coat health. Oatmeal also helps provide your dog energy and contributes to a healthy digestive system.

Super Sport TR-33 Inside

Our unique proprietary blend of micro nutrients is specifically designed to promote healthier more active animals, naturally. Each ingredient has been specifically selected to work together in enhancing performance, helping your K-9 companion meet their peak genetic potential.

Feeding Guide

Feeding Calculators

Use this calculator to help determine the suggested feeding amounts by formula for your specific dog.  Enter your dog's daily activity level for truly customized feeding recommendations.

1-2 times per week includes: Power Walking, Hiking or Jogging 3 miles per day.
3-4 times per week includes: Dock Diving, Agility, Obedience Training or Running 5 miles per day.
Working Dogs includes: IPO, Tracking, Military, Law Enforcement, Security and Protection Dogs.
When changing from your current food to a Sport Dog Food formula, slowly incorporate into your dog's diet over 10-14 days.  We encourage gradually reducing current food while increasing Sport Dog Food amounts.  The amounts suggested may vary according to age, weight, temperament, activity level, breed, and surroundings.

Also keep in mind that the feeding amounts of all Sport Dog Food formulas is typically less than the average dog food on the market as our kcals per cup can be 15-25% more.  Please pay close attention to your feeding amounts.  Compare the kcals per cup to your current formula and do not overfeed.  Accidentally overfeeding is a common cause of loose stool and eventually weight gain.  Be sure to keep fresh water available at all times.

This brand of dog food has given my GSD bountiful energy, a beautiful shiny coat, and is helping her fill out. She has been very picky about dry dog food since she was a young puppy.. She enjoys the taste of all the Sport Dog Food formulas we have bought so far, so no more coaxing her to eat her meals! High quality food with a hard-working company behind it. Thanks

We have been looking for kibble made from good ingredients without peas, legumes, potatoes, corn, wheat, or soy. Our pup has G.I. issues and has been on an expensive prescription diet. She loves her new sport dog food cub formula! We started out by purchasing three small trial bags to make sure our pup liked the taste of the food. I had some questions so I emailed the company and received immediate responses from Maggie and Marie. So far so good!

Auggie is 3 years old and has some definite food sensitivities. Since consistently feeding him (over a year now) the Buffalo and Sweet Potato formula, with an occassional switch to the Whitefish formula for variety, his allergies no longer flare up. Auggie's coat is beautiful, he is full of good energy, his eyes are bright, and his skin is clear. In addition, he doesn't need to eat as much food to maintain a healthy weight and his poop is regular, solid, and formed. Finally, the customer service at Sport Dog Food has been excellent. Even during their transition to a new facility, Michelle always made sure Auggie had what he needed. If I ever have questions I email and get a personal response within a day...what dog food company does that? SPORT does! Keep up the great work!

While looking for a cardio-healthy, sport/performance, and Doberman approved food, I spent 3 months evaluating different brands, formulas, and diets. With working in the veterinary field, being a breeder, and owning several working dogs, it was challenging to find a food that met all of my expectations and was formulated correctly for my Dobermans. When I found Sport Dog Food, I was skeptical at first because the quality and that it checked off my boxes. I contacted customer support to discuss their food and was very impressed with the professionalism and how they handled my many questions. We transitioned our four adult Dobermans to this food while starting a new litter on the "Cub" formula at 3.5 weeks of age. I have seen the biggest impact with the puppies when compared to previous litters we have raised from the same parents, but on a different diet. Our current puppies are larger with more fat stores (impressive for the high-metabolism of Dobermans who are notorious for being thin as puppies), have a stronger appetite and more energy, and appear to be developing quicker across the board (mentally, physically, and emotionally). Overall, I am very impressed. But, I am also relieved that I found a food that I fully feel confident recommending to their new owners. Our adult dogs have enjoyed the food for the past month and I have been pleased with the results, but I am mainly satisfied with the fact that I do not have to worry about issues found in the types of foods we were feeding previously. I am looking forward to seeing how the food impacts their performance over a long period of time. I am drawn to companies who keep their production local (in the USA) and this was one of the big pushes I had for trying this product initially. Overall, I am very satisfied with the company, product, and service.

I ordered online directly from sport dog and the food arrived 2 days later. I'm feeding my 8 week old Golden Retriever Puppy the Cub formula. Because there are no fillers and junk ingredients, the recommended feeding amount is much less. The healthier ingredients also mean less potty messes to clean up in the yard. I also love that they offer a military discount.
